How I Built This is a weekly podcast about innovators, entrepreneurs and idealists, and their personal stories about how they got to where they are. The show, hosted by Guy Raz, is a narrative journey marked by triumphs, failures, serendipity and insight.
We’re looking for a creative social media strategist to cultivate communities on our existing social platforms, and execute plans to strategically expand and engage our digital audience. The successful candidate is someone who has a deep understanding of social media, trending topics, and shareable content. This person has the creativity and experience to create original content and the capacity to elevate and insert our existing catalogue in conversations surrounding trending topics. The successful candidate will also work closely with the show’s editorial and events teams to build campaigns around live events and the annual How I Built This Summit to increase community engagement and foster authentic connection.
The audience for How I Built This is a highly-engaged community for the entrepreneurial-minded: company founders, lovers of innovation, and people who are passionate about creating new ideas and watching them grow. It’s a tribe of builders and makers who are eager to exchange ideas, advice, and encouragement with fellow builders.
We are looking for someone who is dedicated to the show’s entrepreneurial spirit, someone who can grow and engage our digital audience more effectively. We want someone to help us build on our existing platforms, and think of innovative ways for the How I Built This community to congregate, celebrate, commiserate, and connect with innovators and business owners around the world.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a liberal arts discipline, preferably journalism or a writing-intensive discipline, or a Bachelor’s degree in business (or the equivalent combination of education and experience)
