The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a full-time research assistant to support a project developing and supporting a systematic data collection process and data infrastructure for a learning healthcare system for people with recent-onset psychosis.
Activities will include (but not be limited to) to conducting chart reviews to assess the reliability of clinician- and client- reported data, conducing quality reviews of new data reports, conducting descriptive analyses of service utilization and outcome data, conducting literature and other reviews to assess the inclusion of new data elements, and coordinating with the national coordinating center and with program site, informatics and analytic partners around the state. Position will require visits to clinic sites around New York State, including overnight travel to sites located outside the New York City metropolitan area.
Additionally, the Research Assistant will assist other project aims as needed, including assisting with qualitative data collection (interviews with program participants, family members, clinicians and other stakeholders) and analysis of qualitative research data.
Bachelors degree required. Skills in quantitative analysis (including descriptive analyses such as t-tests, ANOVA), and experience using statistical software (e.g SPSS, SAS, or Stata). Experience interacting with participants with a mental health diagnosis.
Master's degree preferred. Experience with electronic medical records preferred. Experience with predictive analytics or machine learning preferred. Experience conducting qualitative research and analysis (including with qualitative software such as Atlas.TI or NVivo) preferred.
